SPRING

This past weekend, our darling scout group (Justin and I are their leaders) had to pass off a gardening requirement.  They came to our weed filled backyard and worked and worked! They pulled out all our weeds and planted flowers.  We have some great little workers, and thanks to those hard workers, we have a beautiful backyard for summer!
(Of course their efforts were rewarded with lots and lots of ice cream too!)

Huey had a little fun over the weekend, jumping around the yard and stretching out!

Here he is hiding in a bush.

Here is Brooks hiding in the bush with him. Can you see his face in the left of this picture? He is wearing a blue shirt.
Justin always tells me our boys would be great at hunting, because with their beautiful dark skin they have an advantage of natural camouflage.
I never believed him until I uploaded this picture this morning.

After a lot of playing in the yard, Huey went back into his house.

Berkley loves Huey and likes to go visit him at his cage.  I may be a little paranoid about this and had Justin put a lock on the cage, to ensure Huey and Berkley do not get out together and maybe play a little too rough...if you catch my drift...

Berkley is a fun dog and all puppy!  We may have had a little incident the other day at Farmington Pond involving Berkley getting off his leash and trying to catch a duck.  He had a great time swimming and I owe a huge thanks to the three darling teenage girls who came to my rescue and caught this stinker of a puppy!

I came across this hutch on Pinterest and I am thinking we might need to renovate our bunny corner in the near future!

On Memorial Day Justin and I saw 42.
A GREAT movie!
I give it five stars and recommend everyone see it.
I hope someday my boys can watch this movie and have a greater appreciation for the world they live in today.
It brakes my heart to be reminded of a what a cruel world many of their ancestors lived through.
Jackie Robinson is a hero, especially to me, being a mother to my two darling boys, who LOVE baseball!

Connor and Brooks, I could not love you more!
