A little while ago my cousin's cute wife, Natalie, and I were talking about yard work.
She told me about one of her neighbors who removed all their grass and filled their yard with gravel and spray painted it bright green to look like grass so they would not have to do yard work.
My reply was something like, "Oh my gosh, I would die if my neighbors did that!"
She laughed and said, "I don't know... I kinda like it because it reminds me that we live in America where people are free to spray paint their yards green!"
Cute Natalie has forever changed my outlook. So often I find myself driving past some house with crazy off the wall decor and instantly I am smiling and repeating in my head
hooray for America!!!
As crazy as politics get, it is easy to get frustrated with our country and sometimes rightfully so.
But often I find myself looking at world news in disbelief at what is going on and I am reminded how fortunate I am to live in America, flaws and all!
I have always loved the Fourth of July,
here are some fun ideas I found on pinterest to celebrate this week.
What's more American than ice cream?
Hotdogs?
A little side note...Justin and I love to go to MLB games. The other night on American Restoration they were restoring an old hot dog cart to sell 'dodger dogs'.
I learned a lot about the Dodgers and their famous hotdogs.
I think we definitely need to hit a Dodgers game and try out a dodger dog, the most famous hotdog in America :)
Fun mismatched patriotic tables.
Martha Stewart's bike decorating kit, I know my boys would love this!
Love these layered drinks!
These would be fun to snack on while watching fireworks.
And how easy would these be to make? Super cute!
Happy Fourth of July!!!!
