NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED!

No more monkeys jumping on the bed, one fell off and broke his arm, mama called the doctor and the doctor said, "No more Connor jumping on the bed!"
While Connor was jumping off his bed trying to make a slam dunk in his basketball hoop, he fell and broke both bones in his forearm.
He let out one scream and that was it.  The Doctors said he must have a high tolerance for pain.  He was a brave boy!  His arm is in a splint for now and he'll get a cast on Monday.

Word traveled fast with Connor's arm and he had many loved ones bringing him cards and treats. The phone was going off all day with calls and texts of concern for him. I was in awe of the support system he has.  I know his birth mother Cheri would be happy knowing how much love he has in his life. One of her greatest concerns was for Connor to have a community who loved and embraced him.

Both of the boys' birth moms have been on my mind a lot lately.  Maybe it is because we had our last home study until finalization for Brooks.  Home studies are pretty routine and we love our social worker Morgan (Hi Morgan!) but they do seem to bring up some strong emotions concerning adoption.  Mostly emotions of how grateful I am to be a mother. Having the blessing of two beautiful adopted boys reminds me that my children are a gift.  When I'm frustrated with the boys or just don't know what to do with them I think, how would their birth mothers want me to handle this situation? Whenever I think about those sweet birth moms who trusted me to give both boys the best I could, it forces me to step up and be a better mother.  To try harder.
Nothing could ever bring me more happiness than my sweet family.  My greatest reward is spending my days loving these boys!

EASTER

We had a great spring break and Easter at our house!

The week was full of BBQ's, Easter egg hunts, lots of friends and family!

The boys' Easter baskets

Brooks is a snuggle bug!  If he's not being held you better make sure he has something soft to cuddle up to!

A real Easter Bunny

Thanks to all our friends and family for making it a special holiday!

BABY BOY BLUE SHOWER

We know that dreams really do come true.
And theirs came dressed in baby boy blue!

Our dear friends Hali and Kathleen hosted a beautiful shower for Melissa and I.

The darling invites made by the talented Kathleen
and Hali's beautiful home.

mmmmm...

In case you didn't know...
Melissa and I submitted our adoption papers about the same time and got our baby boys six weeks apart.
It was great to go through the adoption process together.
We spent many hours obsessing and sitting on the couch waiting for our phones to ring.
I'm telling you, it's an emotional process!
But so worth it!

Bonnie and Brooks, Bonnie made gorgeous blankets for the boys.
I can't say enough nice things about Bonnie.
 The happiest gal we know!

Brooks and Annie
Annie is Connor's nursery teacher,
Connor LOVES Annie and so do we!

The wonderful host Hali and the darling Carrie!

Loved all the matching outfits we got!

My dear friend Ashley who spent countless conversations
talking adoption with me.  What a supportive friend.
Her little boy Brennan is one of Connor's dearest friends!

Darling outfits!

the other host Kathleen (on the right) and our sweet friend Dalynne!

I am so grateful for all the girls in my ward!  The shower was a blast,
I wish I could post a picture of each of the beautiful girls who came!
It seems like everyone was camera shy tonight ;)

Kathleen and Hali, THANK YOU!! Love you both!!!

SURPRISE...IT'S A DIAPER SHOWER!!!

Friday night my DARLING cousin put together a surprise party for me and my cousins Rebecca, and Lisa.  We all have new babies which are our second child, so she decided to throw a "diaper dinner" what a fantastic idea!

Once again I am wishing I would have snapped more pics but I was having too much fun talking to the girls!

The Beautiful tables.
We had a pasta bar with different pastas and sauces.
It was delicious!

Baby Brooks

Hanging our with his cousin Evelyn, Evy for short.  So cute!

The haul of diapers!!!

I can't begin to tell you what a beautiful party it was!
Jenifer hand made these darling little booties for party favors.
I know too cute!

And this little wink, loved every minute of attention he got.

Jenifer, thank you!  What a wonderful night.
I LOVE YOU, XO!!!
